Structure
時間 + ぶり（に）；N + ぶり
Explanation
Two uses: ① time + ぶり indicates a long interval; ② noun + ぶり indicates a manner. E.g., 3年ぶりに会った.
Examples
10年ぶりに、故郷に帰りました。
I returned to my hometown for the first time in 10 years.
久しぶりに、友達に会いました。
I met a friend for the first time in a while.
Note
ぶり with a time marks an interval; 久しぶり is a fixed phrase. Close to 以来.
