Structure
V-た形 + らどうですか
Explanation
Gives a suggestion, "why don't you...?". Attaches to the ta-form + らどうですか, softer than たほうがいい (先生に相談したらどうですか).
Examples
先生に相談したらどうですか。
Why don't you consult your teacher?
一度病院で検査してもらったらどうですか。
Why don't you get a checkup at the hospital?
Note
たらどうですか is a polite suggestion; たらどう？ is more casual.
