Explanation

Adnominals describing quality or state, followed by a noun. こんな+N = this kind of N, どんな+N = what kind of N?

Examples

こんな料理は初めてです。

This is the first time I have had this kind of dish.

どんな音楽が好きですか。

What kind of music do you like?

Note

こんな/そんな/あんな/どんな must be followed by a noun, unlike こう/そう/ああ/どう (adverbs modifying verbs).
