Explanation
While doing the first thing, also...; colloquial, like ついでに. Attached to the masu-stem of verbs or nouns.
Examples
買い物がてら、公園を散歩した。
I took a walk in the park while shopping.
散歩がてら、新しいカフェに行ってみた。
While walking, I tried a new café.

Similar to かたがた but more casual. Attached to nouns (買い物, 散歩) or the masu-stem of verbs.
