Structure
V-ない形 + んばかりに／んばかりの／んばかりだ
Explanation
V-nai + んばかりに: on the verge of doing it; a state about to happen.
Examples
彼女は今にも泣き出さんばかりだった。
She was on the verge of tears.
彼は飛び上がらんばかりに喜んだ。
He was so happy he nearly jumped for joy.
Note
Similar to とばかりに, but んばかり describes a state about to happen.
