Structure
V-ない形（語幹）+ ないかな
Explanation
Expresses the speaker's wish, "if only...". Attaches to the nai-form + ないかな (早く夏休みにならないかな).
Examples
早く春にならないかなあ。
I wish spring would come soon.
彼から連絡が来ないかな。
I wish he'd contact me.
Note
ないかな expresses a wish for something to happen, close to といいな.
