Structure
N + ったら；N + といったら
Explanation
Introduces a topic, "speaking of...", mostly in speech, followed by an evaluation (うちの息子ったら、また遅刻したのよ).
Examples
うちの息子ったら、また宿題を忘れたのよ。
My son—would you believe—forgot his homework again.
夏の暑さといったら、本当にすごいです。
When it comes to summer heat, it's really intense.
Note
ったら introduces a topic with a subjective evaluation in speech; といったら is often used for exclamations.
