Structure

N + でも;疑問詞 + でも

Explanation

Several uses: ① attached to a noun to give an example, "something like..."; ② question word + でも expresses total affirmation, "no matter..."; ③ attached to a noun for concession, "even...". E.g., コーヒーでも飲みませんか.

Examples

日曜日でも、仕事をしなければなりません。

I have to work even on Sundays.

誰でも参加できます。

Anyone can participate.

Note

Question word + でも means total affirmation (anyone/anything); question word + も + negative means total negation (no one/nothing). Keep the difference in mind.
