Structure

V-て形 / Adj-くて / N-で + 後句

Explanation

Connects two actions or states. V-て form / Adj-くて / N-で joins clauses. Can express: ① sequence; ② parallel; ③ reason; ④ means.

Examples

朝ご飯を食べて、学校へ行きます。

I eat breakfast and then go to school.

この部屋は広くて、明るいです。

This room is spacious and bright.

Note

て-form is one of the most common connectors. V-て+V = do A then B. Adj-くて = both A and B. N-で = is A and B.
