Explanation
Expresses the speaker's thoughts, judgments, or opinions. Preceded by a plain form clause.
Examples
明日は雨が降ると思います。
I think it will rain tomorrow.

I thought this movie was interesting.
Note
For third-person subjects, use 「〜と思っている」 instead of 「〜と思う」.
