普通形 + こととて；N + の + こととて
Explanation
A classical remnant: a formal, explanatory because. Attached to the plain form of verbs, noun + の, or na-adjective + な.
Examples
何分初心者のこととて、失敗も多いでしょう。
Being a beginner, I'm bound to make many mistakes.
慣れぬこととて、ご迷惑をおかけしました。
As I'm inexperienced, I've caused you trouble.
Note
Used in letters, apologies and formal explanations. Common: 何分〜のこととて.
