Structure
V-ない形（語幹）+ なければならない / なければいけない
Explanation
Attached to the nai-stem of verbs, 〜なければならない/〜なければいけない expresses obligation, "must do...". In speech 〜なきゃ is common. 〜なければいけない leans subjective; 〜なければならない leans objective or social obligation.
Examples
明日は早く起きなければなりません。
I have to get up early tomorrow.
レポートは金曜日までに出さなければいけません。
I have to submit the report by Friday.
Note
In speech it contracts to 〜なきゃ / 〜なくちゃ. The past form 〜なければならなかった means "had to...". Same meaning as 〜なくてはならない.
