N + より（＋ 〜のほうが）
Explanation
〜より marks comparison, "than...", often used with 〜のほうが. E.g., 肉より魚のほうが好きです (I like fish more than meat).
Examples
電車よりバスのほうが速いです。
The bus is faster than the train.
今年は去年より暑いです。
This year is hotter than last year.
Note
AよりBのほうが… is the standard comparison pattern. Note より also means "from" (e.g., 会議は10時より始まります).
