Structure
V-ます形（語幹）+ たい
Explanation
Expresses the speaker's desire or wish. Attached to the masu-stem of verbs. Generally used for first person; in questions can be used for second person.
Examples
日本へ行きたいです。
I want to go to Japan.
何が食べたいですか。
What do you want to eat?
Note
For third-person desires, use 「〜たがる」. Note: たい conjugates like an い-adjective.
