Structure
N + はもちろん/はもとより
Explanation
The first noun goes without saying; the second is likewise. Attached to nouns. もとより is more formal than もちろん.
Examples
日本はもちろん、海外でもこの映画は人気だ。
This movie is popular not only in Japan but also overseas.
彼女は語学はもとより、音楽の才能にも恵まれている。
Not only is she good at languages, she's also gifted in music.
Note
はもちろん is common in speech; はもとより is literary. The second clause often has も/まで. Contrast with は別として.
