〜てあげる（〜てさしあげる）

Structure
V-て形 + あげる / さしあげる
Explanation
Verb te-form + あげる means doing something for someone else. For superiors use 〜てさしあげる. E.g., 友達の宿題を手伝ってあげる.
Examples
お年寄りに席を譲ってあげました。
I gave up my seat for an elderly person.
おばあさんに荷物を持ってさしあげました。
I carried the luggage for the old lady.
Note
てあげる can sound like doing a favor; use it carefully with superiors — it is more natural with close friends or juniors. てさしあげる shows respect.
