Structure
V-て形 + くれる / くださる
Explanation
Verb te-form + くれる means someone does something for the speaker (or in-group), with gratitude implied. 〜てくださる is the respectful form. E.g., 友達が手伝ってくれた.
Examples
友達が荷物を運んでくれました。
My friend carried my luggage for me.
部長が資料をチェックしてくださいました。
The manager checked the documents for me.
Note
てくれる takes the beneficiary's viewpoint, similar to てもらう, but the subject of くれる is the doer. For requests use 〜てくれないか.
